Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

A 2008 Issue Guide has been prepared for each of North Dakota’s 47 Legislative Districts, as well as the state, in preparation for the 2008 election year.  The two-page issue Guides present data on children’s well-being in North Dakota in the areas of population, family structure, poverty and parental employment.  Please take a look at your district’s information to become informed about the status of children in your area.

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO) is pleased to offer a new full-service online Job Center at www.ndano.org.

NDANO knows how hard it is for nonprofit employers to find top-quality professionals and for those professionals to find the right employers. The Job Center focuses on connecting job seekers and employers in the nonprofit sector.

Employers using the Job Center can purchase a single job posting or a package and give job seekers access to view postings. Employers also have the option to search posted resumes, find candidates who are good matches and pay only for the resumes that fit their job opportunities with the pay-per-resume feature. Posted jobs also get emailed to job seekers through a job alert system. This system notifies job seekers of new job opportunities that match their search criteria.

An anonymous resume bank feature enables job seekers to list their experience and qualifications in a protected environment. By giving both active and passive job seekers the ability to anonymously post their resumes, this service allows individuals to stay connected to the employment market while maintaining full control of their confidential information.

NDANO serves nonprofit organizations and the North Dakota nonprofit sector in four core service areas: professional development; information and research; public policy and advocacy; and cost-saving programs. The Job Center is a natural fit for NDANO to serve the nonprofit sector in the area of professional development.
